Nowadays, the lines between what’s legal and what isn’t when it comes to the internet are fuzzier than ever. One of the most frequently fought about issues of the last few years – and one that is showing no signs of slowing down, is that of music downloading.

There’s no question as to the legality of downloading music for free when it shouldn’t be free – it’s illegal. However, many people think that when they pay for music, that makes it legal. This actually isn’t always the case.

Some websites set up shop and offer cheap music to download, but they may not necessarily be legal vendors of the products. Even if they are, this may only be the case in some countries.
