Usually when I’m doing content and branding work for Online Artist Management we aim for 1 post each week on the blog then we collate these 4 posts with any other content available to make up our monthly email mail out. I’ve been doing my blog for 2 years now but it averages 200 hits a day and I am never short of leads, when you can get that kind of traction you should be able to pick up fans without even the benefit of other more aggressive But I’ve written 300 posts in that time so that’s the kind of commitment you’re looking at, but from my perspective it’s worth it because I never have to look for “fans” now, there’s always someone ready to pay me for what I do.

Celebrity News – Orange Celebrity blog round-up 24 November 2009

Victoria Beckham! I know, amazing isn’t it? Admittedly the jury’s out as to whether the titfer goes well with the rest of Posh’s typically downbeat all-black attire – a jauntier colour might not have gone amiss – but just you wait, everyone’ll be wearing the same thing soon enough.

Meanwhile on planet pop, Cheryl Cole’s taken to wearing her wedding ring again, sparking enthused rumours that, umm, she just doesn’t wear it all the time. Nothing to see here, folks! We all know Ashley’s a cad of the first water, but hey, if she can forgive him then I am sure we can too.  I mean, he must be good at something.. oh that’s right he is a footballer so we have to give him some credit.

If you’re hankering after some proper hardcore jewellery, though, look no further than Paula Abdul’s fairly insane bracelet/bangle/glove/whatever-it-is at the American Music Awards. Sadly Nicole Kidman, Leona Lewis and even Rihanna let the side down in comparison, wearing a net curtain, a bin liner and a small child’s paper sculpture, respectively.

Thanks heavens, then, for Jedward, who will no doubt be capitalising on their recent X Factor “success” (they got voted out over the weekend) by appearing on absolutely anything offered to them for a few weeks. Chaps – I can see a little sunshine, go make some hay now! I would certainly watch out for them in the New Year.  If the Cheeky Girls can release an album after being booted off Popstars The Rivals early on in the show, then I am sure there is a singing/acting career ready for Jedward.

Celebrity News – X Factor Blog – 17Th December 2009

It’s been wall-to-wall pop starlets over the past few days – and amazingly, not all of them hail from the fly-by-night world of reality TV. But first up, er, the fly-by-night world of reality TV (henceforth known as TFBNWORTV – snappy, huh?).

X Factor winner Joe McElderry has been fighting off hordes of fans and raising eyebrows the world over – alright, across west London – by insisting he doesn’t fancy the judge from his neck of the woods, while Geordie TFBNWORTV figurehead Cheryl Cole (for it is she) basked in the glory of her latest gong: she’s been voted the nation’s favourite female drinking buddy.

In international pop news, Madonna and Fergie (the singing one) turned up at the US premiere of strange-sounding musical Nine, one with her daughter and one with her mum (can you guess which?). Does Nicole Kidman count as a pop star following her 2001 hit with Robbie Williams? Well, she was there too, but both mumless and kid-free.

Back in TFBNWORTV, 2008 X Factor winner Alex Burke, 2009 Strictly Come Dancing semi-finalist Laila Rouass and this year’s X Factor LOSER (sorry) Olly Murs all decided to show their faces at, um, a ballet in London. And last and by all means least, Geri Halliwell wore hot pink (and fake fur) in the vain hope that somebody might care at The Sun’s A Night of Heroes Military Awards. They didn’t. Oh well. I am sure we will see them around the famous celebrity haunts like Mahiki and Nobu in the New Year.
