Helping Your Kids Become Creative Thinkers

As parents, it is a common denominator to have the desire for our children to grow up prepared to any challenges their lives have to offer. Mothers, just like my own mother, are always anxious that they are making the right decisions for their children or guiding their children make the right directions every single day as early as possible to get a head start in this world. This is not a bad thing at all. In fact, this is the very manifestation of unconditional love that many writers such as myself love to write about.

I’m not exactly a mother yet but I have often wondered that if I have to start a family soon, what values can I impart my children to at least say that I’m proud of what I have accomplished later on. Paranoid much? No, not really. If you watch the news or read the daily news and see crimes being committed, I’m sure most of you have tried to analyze and understand the inner workings of the criminals’ minds. And you also realize and agree with experts that the common thieves and common rapists are products of broken homes. The basic values have not been instilled and these individuals suffer from low emotional intelligence. Probably as children, they haven’t been guided to think creatively and solve problems according to specified rules. These individuals become lawbreakers because they think that there are no other ways to solve the problem they are faced with. Discipline and self-control are concepts they have trouble grasping.

Monster Beats Studio headphones have become the standard for playing Rock, Hip Hop and R&B

Music Studio

Headphone orientations are many and varied; however, headphones are seldom connected with fashion. For years, headphones seems to fail in being a fashionable sign, which is similar to that effect caused by Sony Walkman and Apple iPod – in the past we did doubt that if such little articles hanging on the ears could become a necessary fashionable decoration on people’s ears just like other ornaments such as necklace or earrings; while Monster Beats, which started to release headphones in 2008, only takes about one year to “fulfill this dream” which many other headphone brands could not in the past.

If you are a fashionable person who is very concerned about fashion but never heard of the brand Monster, then you are really OUT! Just look at those stars who wear these Monster Beats, now the brand Monster Beats is sweeping over the whole American market. Founded in 1979, Monster is a company specialized in production of HIFI Audio Cables and its founder is even an American-born Chinese. After 20 years of development, Monster has become the second largest professional company engaging in R&D and selling of cables in the world, quite well-known in audiophile circles. In America, many famous stars use Monster cables for their performance and daily life. What’s more, many musicians who won Grammy Awards, artists and engineers use Monster cables as well as some professional studios.

The Many Roles of a Successful Project Studio Owner (and How to Become an In-demand Local Producer)

So you want to become a studio owner and/or an in-demand local producer? Do you realize what sort of work that entails? Do you understand all the different skills you may need to be successful in that venture? What about all the various roles you will be asked or forced to take on with projects/clients?

Wait a minute, I didn’t sign up for all this.

Those of us in the music business all know that project studios are popping up everywhere these days. These are usually smaller-type studios than the professional large-scale recording studios, but can often produce high quality work for a much cheaper price for various recording artists. These types of studios have flourished in recent years due to the falling prices with equipment and recording accessories, as well as less-expensive digital hard-disk recording products and software that’s now widely available in the marketplace. But running a successful project studio can require you to develop skills to be many different people – project coordinator, record producer, psychologist, advisor, versatile scheduler, great communicator, storyteller, business person and entrepreneur, just to name a few.

In addition, just like almost any business, it also hinges on strong people skills and building relationships with your clients. This in turn helps spread the word about the studio, about working directly with you, and brings in referral projects or repeat business (the goal of any business, right?).

Music Industry Jobs – How to Become a Sound Recording Engineer

A music studio contains more equipment than just microphones and a keyboard. To produce a world class album, you need to get the best sound out of the artist and the music. One person whose job it is to do this is the music recording engineer.

When I think of an engineer, I think of an architect or someone who tinkers with wires and circuits all day. In the music business, they use a different type of engineer. He is called a recording engineer and his job begins as soon as the artist starts to sing.

The area that the recording engineer occupies is called the digital audio workstation, or DAW. This workstation contains all of the technical gadgets an engineer needs to fine tune the sounds he hears. The engineer works with the artist to lay down the best sound they can get. This may involve the artist recording certain parts of the song several times until just the right sound is achieved.

The recording engineer may have additional teammates to collaborate on the performance. They are mostly a part of larger projects with big budgets. Smaller projects use the recording engineer in several roles to compensate. Learning all aspects of music engineering can help you land a job in a smaller studio that needs a multi-tasking engineer.
