  1. I bought this as a gift for my daughter and she liked it, so it’s great.

  2. When I bought this music stand, I was looking for something I could take along, very compact, easy to put together and easily back in the case when finished. It does all of that, but to my surprise, it is also very sturdy and stable, and very well made. It is inexpensive, but don’t let that throw off, this is a very good music stand.

  3. not the sturdiest thing in the world. But it can handle my 300+ page bass tab book, which is good enough for me.

  4. It’s a cheap stand. Ok for home use, light duty jam sessions. Not rugged though and a bit short overall. If your 6 or more feet tall, you might have issues with it. Just under, and it should be ok. Stability not too bad, not great either. You cannot be rough with this thing. If you’re doing some gig, and need a sturdy stand, you don’t want it to fall.(Consider other stands.) For light use, it’s ok and at a value price. The parts are made well enough for an inexpensive stand and adjust satisfactorily for the most part. (Just keep that height issue in mind.) Oh, wasn’t happy about the tight case. You really have to take the stand apart to 3 pieces to avoid having to wrestle with the thing to fit. This takes time. They could have made the case, as well as the stand a bit larger. It is very portable though, light weight, and useful enough for light duty. A positive note…the main ledge seems nicely sized to hold a chunky “fakebook”…just exercise caution.

  5. I have to agree with those who said this stand was too flimsy to be useful. I play with a group, and we use two music books, one a spiral bound less than an inch thick and the other a 1″ looseleaf binder. This stand won’t hold both at the same time. It is light weight and goes up easily and would probably be fine for a couple of pages of music. It fits nicely in the carrying case. The clasps would probably hold sheet music in place if you were outdoors, but the stand would be unstable on other than a paved surface.
