How to Make a Musical Instrument: A Guide to Instrument Building

If you’re an ambitious and imaginative musician, then you may wonder how to make a musical instrument. In truth, this is a task that is much more difficult than it sounds. Sure, you could make a simple instrument out of pretty much anything. The challenge is creating an instrument that actually sounds good. Then, of course, you face the challenge of keeping costs down. After all, why make your own instrument when you can buy a superior instrument for a low cost? Here is your guide to making an instrument at a low cost.

Generating Good Sound

First, unless you’re an expert electrical engineer, an electronic keyboard is out of the question. Similarly, if you aren’t a master craftsman, you shouldn’t even try to make your own woodwind (unless you’re making something really simple, like a reed flute). I would recommend trying to build a guitar as a starter instrument. The reason is simply that more guides are readily available for affordable guitar building than any other instrument.

Additionally, you may even be able to find a kit that will give you everything you need to build a guitar. Finally, guitars are good for independent builders because you can easily tune them, allowing you to ensure that you are creating notes, not noise.

Gregg Allman Searching for Simplicity Rock Music CD Review

One word describes the CD Searching For Simplicity from Gregg Allman… AWESOME!

It’s a rare day indeed that I get a CD from an artist that I can truthfully say does not have a bad track in the bunch. I’m more than happy to announce that’s exactly what I must say about this one. There simply is NOT a bad one in the bunch. No fillers here at all.

One of the refreshingly nice things about this CD is the way all of the participating artists seem to be really enjoying themselves. Combine that with the overall presentation and you’ve got one of Gregg Allman’s most impressive releases ever.

If you’re a Gregg Allman fan, or just a fan of Rock music this is a CD your collection simply should not be without.

While the entire CD is really very good the truly standout tunes are track 3 – Come Back And Help Me, track 4 – Silence Ain’t Golden Anymore, and track 13 – Startin’ Over.

My Bonus Pick, and the one that got Sore [...as in "Stuck On REpeat"] is track 1 – Whippin’ Post. Wow!

How Can I Learn To Understand Music & Piano Playing?

The graceful flourishes of a well-played piano masterpiece are sounds that many people would love to create. From trained professionals to child prodigies, a brilliantly

played piano can steal the show. But great lessons are costly and involve scheduling time away from your busy life. So how do you learn how to play the piano or deepen your

knowledge of the instrument?

Piano workbooks can provide a solid foundation in theory, an effective practice routine, and piano classics in one package. If you don’t have the time or money for lessons,

consider buying a few piano workbooks.

The obvious advantages of piano workbooks are the ability to set your own pace and practice at your convenience. Just sit down at the bench after dinner, crack open the

book, and hear your playing improve.

The only downside is that you must develop self-motivation to flourish when studying from piano workbooks. Like any great discipline, you must develop some kind of regimen

to progress. With a teacher, you’ll always have someone keeping track of how well you’re doing. By studying from a workbook, you’ll have to keep an eye on your own

progress.

Piano workbooks range from those that focus on the basics to those that provide a comprehensive explanation of musical theory. The best offer a good amount of theory,

Where to Download Music Online for a Dime?

Music enthusiasts would love to know where to download music online for pennies. Very often, we would really like to get a particular song but simply do not want to buy the whole CD or download the entire album. Some of us may even feel that the online music sites are simply charging too much for us to download music online. If you can identify with one of these scenarios, then this article would open your eyes to a whole new way to download music online and not only that, but do so cheaply.

Downloading a song for 99 cents just won’t go well with the current consumers of MP3. As such, there are now a couple of established music download sites that have started to accept membership. For a monthly fee, you can download music online to your heart’s content. From rock to contemporary classics, pop, K-pop, J-pop and all, you can freely download all these music MP3s as often as you want and as many as you like. There are no limits and it is totally legal to do so. These music stores have cut deals with local music labels to release their brand of music online. In exchange for that, these music record companies get a cut from the profits for each download.

I like to download, listen to, and sing along with Latin music. And I am able to build up my collection in minutes. I find Latin music to be romantic and alluring, and it put my heart in a good space. The quick beat of a rumba drum, the delicate pick of a Spanish twelve string, or the haunting voice of a dark-haired beauty singing of a long ago but not forgotten lover, just gives me goose bumps.

I have found everything I want and downloaded it quickly on Ares. Everything! Install took a matter of minutes, and I started downloading all sorts of Latin artists, singers, and instrumentals. I even found the lyrics to many songs I like, and much to my pleasant surprise I found them both in English and Spanish.
